This biography was written by Brenton Thwaites Online with the information that we have collected about Brenton so far, and we would appreciate it if it weren’t republished elsewhere. As Brenton’s rise in Hollywood starts and more info on him is released, this biography will be regularly updated so please check back.

Brenton Thwaites was born in the year 1989 in Cairns, Queensland (Australia). He later attended Cairns State High School. After he graduated in 2006, Brenton went on to study acting at Queensland University of Technology.

During his time in university, Brenton made his acting debut in the independent film Charge Over You in 2010. After graduating in 2011, Brenton guest starred on an episode of the Australian television series Sea Patrol. Later that same year, he went on to star in the Australian teen drama series, SLiDE. Unfortunately, shortly after airing it’s first season, it was announced that SLiDE would not be renewed for a second season because of it’s less than stellar results with the audience.

That same year, Brenton moved to Sydney, Australia to further his career in acting. Not long after Brenton arrived in Sydney he managed to procure a recurring role as Stu Henderson on the long-running Australian soap opera, Home and Away.

After his five-month run on Home and Away, it was confirmed in February 2012 that Brenton had been cast as the male lead in Lifetime’s re-make of the steamy 1980’s film The Blue Lagoon where he would appear opposite fellow Aussie Indiana Evans. Blue Lagoon: The Awakening premiered on June 16, 2012.

In May 2012, it was announced that Brenton will play the young Prince opposite Elle Fanning’s Aurora in Robert Stromberg’s fairytale re-imagining, Maleficent. Filming began a month later in Europe.

Brenton is a talented, rising young star whom I believe will make a big impact on the Hollywood scene in the years to come.
