October 27, 2016 News - Office Uprising - Projects

Lin Oeding, whose action design and stunt credits include Ant-Man, The Equalizer, Straight Outta Compton and Inception, is set to helm Office Uprising. The genre pic is due to begin production in Alabama at the end of November. The Exchange is handling international sales.

Office Uprising stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) and Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe).

Written by Ian Shorr (Splinter) and Peter Gamble Robinson, it’s the story of an underachiever working at a major weapons manufacturing firm who finds that his co-workers have been “weaponized” by a new energy drink designed for the military. He must then set off to rescue his one true love from an office building full of psychotic coworkers armed with tomorrow’s deadliest tech.

Hi guys! A few months ago, I decided to close the site, but it didn’t take long for me to regret that decision. I was able to get a much better domain, so from now on, the site will be at brenton-thwaites.com. This one will be permanent, I promise; no more moving domains. I also put up a new layout for this re-opening. I hope you all like it! I also changed the site’s Twitter handle because it was still using the old, original domain, so our new Twitter is @Thwaites_Online.

And I have updated the gallery with photos from two events that Brenton attended last August: the Tropfest press conference and the premiere of Gods of Egypt in Tokyo.

July 01, 2016 An Interview with God - News - Projects

Yahoo Movies has shared some details on Brenton’s newest project, An Interview with God.

Brenton Thwaites and David Straithairn are starring in the faith-based drama “An Interview with God,” which is wrapping shooting in the New York City area.

Perry Lang (“Weeds”) is directing from a screenplay by Ken Aguado. The cast also includes Yael Grobglas (“Jane The Virgin”), Hill Harper (“Concussion, CSI: NY”) and Charlbi Dean Kriek.

Aguado and Fred Bernstein are producing with Richard L. Jackson, founder of Giving Films, and Paul Kurta.

“An Interview with God” is set in New York City with Thwaites playing an up-and-coming journalist when he’s granted an interview with a man who claims to be God, portrayed by Strathairn.

“We wanted to make an accessible film that explored core aspects of faith and inspiration, but one that would also stand on its own as great entertainment,” Aguado said in a statement.

Bernstein added, “Through a provocative story, ‘An Interview with God’ poses a simple yet profound question to the audience: If you could interview God, what would you ask?”

Producers plan to release the film in 2017.

Brenton recently shared a set photo on his Instagram account.

May 14, 2016 News

Divergent and Suicide Squad star Jai Courtney is to play alongside two-time Oscar winner Michael Douglas and rising actor Brenton Thwaites (Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) in intriguing Cannes package The God Four.

Todd Komarnicki (Resistance), writer of upcoming Clint Eastwood-Tom Hanks biopic Sully and producer of Will Ferell comedy Elf, has written and will direct the feature, which is based on Ron Irwin’s novel Flat Water Tuesday.

Courtney will star as Rob Carrey, a documentary filmmaker who, on the eve of his 10-year school reunion, discovers that one member of their championship rowing crew has just committed suicide.

The revelation prompts him to revisit his fateful senior year, a time of rivalry, romance and dangerous secrets.

Wall Street star Douglas will play Carrey’s former coach and Thwaites an Olympic hopeful rower. The role of the female coxswain has yet to be cast.

Shoot is due to get underway next month in Massachusetts.
